Cloone Church Renovations Update

Update Jan 21st: Works  to the exterior of the roof are now complete and the interior and ground works are ongoing. The conclusion of the works are nearing and we will probably be back in the church by the end of February.

We wish to acknowledge a donation of €50.00 from Leo Kavanagh Cornagher and
Kilmore , Co. Roscommon towards the Cloone church works.

The work on the Church Roof is progressing satisfactorily. The completion date at the moment would likely be towards the end of January 2012. The contract price was €345,000.00. Professional fees will be in the region of €30,000.00. The total cost should be in the region of €375,000.00.

We are grateful to our parishioners for their ongoing support and also to all the good people who have made donations to the funds. So far we have received One anonymous donation of €5,000.00. A donation of €3,284.50 per Mrs. Alice McGarry, executor, Hanwell, London on behalf of John & Patrick Lennon deceased and the deceased members of the Lennon family Corduff. A bequest of €380.92 from Bridget Kerrigan deceased Cloone. A donation of €100.00 from Carlos A Blessing, New York & Aughakiltibrid.

We have received one other anonymous donations totaling €430.00. A donation of €20.00 from Anna Conboy Louth. You can view photos of the project as it progresses here. Meanwhile updates will be posted here relating to the project.
